The House

This house we've been staying in is mammoth.  I don't know how many bedrooms there are, but there've got to be at least ten.  It was built somewhere around 1890 and over the years has been a hospital, and a boarding school for boys among other incarnations.

Anyway, since posting pictures of the inside of someone's house seems a bit personal, here are some shots of the outside (it is impossible to get the entire thing into one shot, but you can get a better idea of the size from the back of the house):

Here is a shot of the lake view from my bedroom window (it is the one with windows directly over the front porch in the first picture):

a gorgeous little lake on the property

Needless to say, it is has been a pretty amazing place to spend some time.

In other news, last night's concert was a huge success!  We leave this morning for New Jersey where we have another concert tomorrow evening.  Before we go Andrew, possibly Adriane and I are going to try to take the canoe out on the lake.  There is a bet on whether or not Andrew will be able to get out of bed in time to meet me at 8:30am.  He and John A. have some beer on the line over it.  I'll keep you posted on the outcome!
